My Room

"Everyone carries a room about inside them. This fact can even be proved by means of the sense of hearing. If someone walks fast and one pricks up one's ears and listens, say at night, when everything round about is quiet, one hears, for instance, the rattling of a mirror not quite firmly fastened to the wall." -Franz Kafka

Travel Pics

I posted a ton of pictures from our travels in Paris, Rome, and Vienna. To see them in order, scroll down to the picture of Christine eating an orange, and then work your way up. The later photos are at the top. Enjoy!

Some sort of coffee bong Posted by Hello

Our second day in Vienna, we decided to visit a coffee museum that we had read about in a guidebook. This is it. The whole museum was a backroom at a coffee shop. Christine's face in this picture says it all. I thought it was fun, though, and the cafe had really good coffee, as most cafes in Vienna do. Posted by Hello

Emperor penguins. These things are huge! Posted by Hello

Apparently the lemurs' shift is over, and the all walk single file inside Posted by Hello

A lemur. All MST3K fans sing along, "Joey the Lemur, a friend to mankind..." Posted by Hello

A koala. Isn't he schnuggly? Posted by Hello

An anteater, moments before nature called Posted by Hello

I'm not sure what kind of lizard this is, but it posed for a great picture, so I took it Posted by Hello

A couple of Iguana's. This zoo had the most active reptiles I've ever seen. The habitats were huge and beautiful, and the animals actually seemed to enjoy being there. Posted by Hello

Flamingos fighting outside the aquarium Posted by Hello

We took another sleeper train to Vienna. We decided to visit the Schonbrunn Zoo, the oldest zoo in the world. This is the entrance to the park Posted by Hello

Final shot of Palatine Hill. It would have been nice to see at a time when we could enjoy it instead of rushing past it to find some lasagna (which was delicious; we finally found a place) Posted by Hello

More of Palatine Hill. At this point we are ready to draw straws to see which one of us gets eaten. Posted by Hello

Ooh, that's nice. Man, I'm hungry. Posted by Hello

All of the following pictures are of Palatine Hill, one of the most beautiful paces in the world. We stumbled upon it while trying to find a place to eat. Posted by Hello

The floor of the Colloseum has been removed, and you can see where the gladiators and animals waited before "performing" Posted by Hello
