My Room

"Everyone carries a room about inside them. This fact can even be proved by means of the sense of hearing. If someone walks fast and one pricks up one's ears and listens, say at night, when everything round about is quiet, one hears, for instance, the rattling of a mirror not quite firmly fastened to the wall." -Franz Kafka

Ugh...

Today is the second day in a row that construction has begun outside our window before 8AM. Christine's trying to sleep through it, but I said forget it, so now I'm updating the blog while watching Everybody Loves Raymond. Our room is right above a back entrance to the building, which has an automatic door. So at any time during the day or night, it opens and shakes the whole room. Now they seem to be repaving the driveway. It sucks.

Christine just walked in looking less than happy. Today's going to be fun...

Once we get our breakfast baps and go to the market, things should look up.

    So sorry.

Noises like that can only be lived with when they provide personal benefits.

I HATE the sound of the dumpster being emptied, and I HATE the sound of the plow in the parking lot.

But, since they do 'toll' for me, I can deal with it.

Now, with screaming yelling ranting crazy bus stop people I have MAJOR issues.
